i'm ill....not ill enough to stay at home from school, but ill enough to lose the ability to breathe through my nose. grrrrrrrrrrr. just the common cold, though. luckily. i mean, i could've gotten that Superflu-thingy from The Stand :D haha.

i've got something to cheer me up though - the SW DVD is coming out in 12 days! and Eminem's new album is coming out tomorrow! weeeeeeee! *dances around*  i really hope it's good. been waiting for it for a looooong time!

anyway, i'll go play Sims 2 now.

school started about 3 weeks ago. my teachers are okay, except for my english teacher - he wants us to write down the vocabulary. which is something i just won't do - why should i waste the time? over the last 2 years of learning english, there's hardly ever been a word that i hadn't already known. ts. plus, his lessons are so boring! he keeps talkin a lotta shit about the british empire and stuff. i already took a look at the topics we're gonna have this year - all crap. but what can you do. livi (short for olivia, pronounced leevee) and i have other pastimes.... we like to write down all of the United States. and we're good at it! we always get them all. alphabetically! *nods* but that got kinda boring, so we decided to learn the captital of each state, too. we already know 41 - from alabama to south dakota. we do 10 per lesson, but the last time we did south dakota, too, just for fun :) and when we're done with the capitals, we're gonna do the 'nicknames' as well. like, Delaware the Diamond State. and when we're done with that, we'll do all the countries in Europe and their capitals, and so on.... lol :) it may seem stupid, but it's fun. inspired by FRIENDS :)

we went on an excursion to the (ex-)concentration camp in Dachau on tuesday. it was really interesting! but kinda shocking. all those people who were tortured to death and all.... i don't wanna go into the details, it's all so much! it was kinda weird, like in the gas chamber, to walk on the same ground where all those people suffocated and everything... they even still had the "ovens" where they cremated the corpses! creepy. and there was a kinda museum in the building(s) with lots of documents and stuff. they even still had the wooden table-kinda-thing they strapped fugitives to and them hit them with wooden bats or somethin and then the guy would have to keep count (with the hits). jeez. and there were also many pictures that were on those kind of bulletin-boards. below one of them was this quote. one of the SS-guys said it to the prisoners when they arrived. "You are without rights, dishonorable and defenseless. You're a pile of shit and that is how you're going to be treated."  i was like, woah! and the Nazis also had this incredibly cruel penalty that you got when there was like, a stain on your pants or so. or when they wanted to know something from you or so. they bound the prisoner's hands behind his back and then hung him up on a tree, or just had him dangling from the ceiling. for an hour. imagine the pain! how could they do that to human beings?? there was also a quote about that. something a survivor said. (i wrote this down on a notepad just for you guys! Luckily the quotes were there in German and English, so i didn't have to translate it 4 u.) "This is the torment of hell! The whole body weight hangs from the arms that are twisted backwards. And the monsteres stand in front of you and laugh at your pain, ask you whether you now want to confess, slap you in the face and pull and tug at your body. When you stay silent they swing you, often they whip you at the same time." HOLY SHIT! i got so mad! i just wanted to go back 60 years and kill all the nazis. i mean, all the hard work, so little food, the diseases, the torture... i feel so sorry for those people. but enough of this now.

my mom's gone again. to italy this time. and my brothers are driving me insane. it was so bad yesterday! i set up rules, like that they should clean up their dishes and stuff. they laughed at it! and Jens annoyed me so much, he's been doing this thing lately where he takes you word for word. when i say, "can you put your plate in the dishwasher?" he just says "yes" and does nothing. wanna know why? cuz technically, he is able to put it in the dishwasher. whether he's going to do it or not, is an entirely different story. that's the way he seems to think. and you know, he does ALL THE TIME. it's annoying the shit outta me. sometimes i could just kill him for that! phil and dave aren't much better. i mean they don't do that thing, but they don't clean up their stuff, either. it's like they're trying to do everything to make it as hard 4 me as possible. yesterday, it was so bad i just lay down in my bed and cried for like 10 minutes or so. i just wanted mom to get back. i called livi and she comforted me (oh how i love her.) and offered me that i could sleep at her place to get away for a while. so i did, and it really made me feel better. we had a lot of fun. the thing was, all i did was leave the guys a little note that i was at her place. they didn't know anything about when i was gonna come back, or who was gonna cook them their fuckin meals. i came back today at about 6 pm.... but it didn't seem like they'd been missing me. oh well. tonight, i cooked for myself. i told them that if they wanted to eat, they should make it themselves. i'm not the slave here!!!

our main teacher (man, how do you say that in english? i mean the teacher that's "responsible" for the class, if u know what i mean.) read some letter to us today from some education-organisation or something. they're offering grants, or call it fellowships, i dunno, so you can spend a year in a foreign country. you can choose between 8 countries - Czechia, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Slovakia, China and South Africa. Now most of these aren't so great, except South Africa. i'd looooove to go there! i'd do it at once. the thing is, you still have to pay 3000 Euro. i have no idea how the hell i'm supposed to get that money. i mean, 300 wouldn't be a problem, but 3000 Euro???? who are we, the Rockefellers??? man. i don't know what to do. i'll never get a chance like this again. i suppose i'd get something from my relatives and stuff, and i could take something from my bankbook-thingy, but i don't know if that's enough. luckily you don't have to pay the money until they decide they wanna have you. which they will do in Spring. so i guess i'll apply and try my best to get the money. from somewhere. i'll rob a bank, if necessary. nah, j/k lol :D i gotta talk to mom about this, anyway.

while i'm at it - Fanny, my second best friend, wants to go to the US for a year. it would cost her parents about 8000 euro, i think. and they're willing to pay that! (god knows how they came to have that much money.) so she'll apply (but it's not the same organization like the one with South Africa.) if she goes, i'll miss her so much! well, maybe i'll be gone in that year, too, but still. jeez, we're gonna leave Livi all alone... lol :) if i get the 3000 euro. that's still the problem.

there's a lot more i could tell you, but i still got lotsa stuff to do and i can't stay online for long.

i got a postcard from janna! apparently, she's in Turkey with her family. and tanja - another friend. she wrote it's really nice and the food in their hotel is great. good for them :) i'm happy she wrote!

school starts again next week... gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.... on the one hand, i'm really looking forward to it, for no particular reason really. i'm just anxious to find out what teachers i'm gonna get. hopefully a new english teacher. the one i had last year sucked. on the other hand, i don't wanna go back - i hate getting up early! plus, it's so boooooooooring sometimes... and i'm getting the feeling that i'm never gonna need all the stuff we have to learn. but what can you do.

i'm reading The Stand now - also by the fabulous Stephen King, of course - and it's really interesting. a lot of characters and storylines, but it's easy to keep up, actually. can't wait to read more :)

there's not much to tell otherwise... i'm trying to go to bed earlier each night and get up a little earlier each morning in the hope of getting into my usual sleep-cycle again, if you know what i mean. it's not working very well though. i guess i'm gonna spend the first couple of days at school trying not to fall asleep. but it'll improve with time, i'm sure. it always does.

alright, i'll go read some more and wait for my brothers to come home so i can make dinner (my mom still isn't back, but she will be this weekend.).

late at night doesn't define it exactly. it's almost 6 am and the sky is already turning blue-grey.... i finished Insomnia - at 4.30 am. it was sooo thrilling i just couldn't stop. anyway, afterwards, i did go to bed, but i couldn't really sleep. maybe cuz of the cup of coffee i'd had a few hours ago. anyway, i stayed in bed and listened (quietly so i wouldn't wake my little brother) to the Cruel Intentions soundtrack - a great CD! after a while, i got hungry and ate some toast. Jens was (is) awake, too - he'd been playing some computer game... so, we had a very early 'breakfast' together. but he went to bed now, i think. anyway, he told me he'd downloaded Sleepy Hollow (in english!!!) and i decided i had to watch it. which i'm gonna do now. i don't think i'll go to sleep :)

btw, Phil is in Spain with his girlfriend, till sunday, i think. and mom went away today - to continue building the house. i dunno when she's gonna come back... well but we have enough food so who cares. lol :)

alright. so i'm in my room on friday night. i had folded out my couch (i mostly sleep there in the holidays) and i was lying/sitting on it, listening to music, and i see something moving from the corner of my eye. so i look to the left to see if i just imagined it or if there really was anything, but i saw nothing. so i lifted up my blanket a little on the side, and there was this huge black spider. she (i always think of spiders as females - dunno why.) was like 10 centimeters away from me! i wanted to scream but i couldn't cuz my breath caught in my throat and i could only gasp for air. i was like paralyzed for a few seconds, and then i sneaked away as far from the spider as possible and ran out of my room to my little brother. i was sooo hysterical! i almost cried - later, i even did... lol... anyway, he went into my room and looked for the spider. i barricaded myself with pillows on our living-room couch. after a while he shouted that he couldn't find her. then my mom came and wanted to know what was going on so i told her about the spider. then they both looked for it, but they couldn't find it. i just asked my brother to give me my pillow and blanket so i could sleep on the couch in the living room. i swore to myself i would never set foot in that room again. at least not until i was 100% sure she was gone. anyway, the next day, i did go in and folded the couch up again so the room would be easier to survey. i think i deserve some medallion for that - going into that room again! i mean you should've seen that thing! *shudder* anyway, i even spent some time in my room that day, reading.

the next evening, i was in the cellar (my big brothers' rooms are there) watching a movie on Phil's (biggest brother) computer with Jens and Dave (the other brothers). i went upstairs once to get something to drink, and when i came downstairs again, there was a huge black spider in the corridor! (it wasn't the one from my room though. you'll see why later.) this time i screamed. Dave and Jens came, saw the spider and killed it (i was already upstairs again then. didn't wanna watch them kill it.).

then we watched the movie a little, and after a while, Jens goes outside and sees another spider of the same kind in the corridor again! i didn't see it though. he told me there was one but i didn't wanna look at it... anyway, a little later that night, me and Jens went up to my room to watch PotC. after a while he went to the bathroom and i pressed 'pause'. so while i was sitting there waiting, the huge black spider shows up again! it was crawling right across the floor. i ran to get my brother, and he quickly came and killed it. that night i slept in my room again :)

so you see - 3 spiders! within a day and a half! that's not normal. i bet they're founding a colony in our house. building an empire. because they know i live in that house, and they know i hate them.

anyway, Jens wants to go online now. i don't have much more to tell anyway... i'm almost done reading Insomnia, and the next one's gonna be The Dead Zone. all stephen king, of course, and all english, of course. how i love it.

i'm pissed off. at my (real life) friends. i was gonna do something with janna yesterday - she said she could prolly sleep @ my place, and i was really looking forward cuz i haven't seen her for like... dunno :) well, she PROMISED she'd call me. i went to bed at 1 am, and she hadn't called. and that's what it's always like. and that led me to thinking - and i realized that it's pretty much the same with all my friends. i'm all always the one calling everyone, i'm always the one waiting. must be some curse or so... isn't it sad that NONE of my friends have time for me? that i have to spend several days of f*ckin SUMMER VACATION almost living in front of the computer? Only leaving the house to bring in the mail? because NOONE has time! and i actually believed janna and i could do something and i ws looking forward to seeing someone else than my brothers or their friends (who, miraculously, do have time). But, of course, she needed a few hours to consider whether she should go to meet some sh*thead (she told me something about a 'friend' she had wanted to see) instead of spending the night with one of her best friends who she's known for over nine years. i don't even know just what she did last night, because she didn't even bother to PICK UP THE PHONE AND LET ME KNOW!! thanks very much! man, i'm getting the feeling that my best friends are friggin books and people from all over the world who i only know cuz they share my obsession. her life's not like that, of course. because her wonderful friends ALWAYS have time for her! she can't even decide who she wants to spend it with! because those people are so incredibly interesting  with their spiffy cell phones!

my friends always ask me where i get the time to read so much - there's the answer. because everyone else is just so g*ddam busy! and i always have to wait for them to spare a second of their precious time to spend it with me! i cleaned the house yesterday because i was so bored - and that says a lot! and y'know what, i don't think i'll see some of them until school starts again. not unless I call them constantly. which i won't do. anymore. if they don't care enough to pick up the phone, i don't either. i mean, what about a simple "hey sara, how are you?" i make calls like that all the time. because i care about them. isn't it the most normal thing in the world? they haven't seen me for 3 weeks, for christ's sake!!

i just don't get it... i'm glad i have friends on JJ and FB! i couldn't live without you guys! *hugs*

i don't have to go to school on wednesday! see we have PE, and we're going to the open-air bath and we have to swim like 200 m or so, and that's my worst nightmare. and before and after it, we only have German and Latin. so i asked my mom whether i could just be "sick" that day... and she agreed! alright she isn't at home, but my aunt signed the peace of paper that i'll have to bring to school the next day that says i was sick. so, i have a day off! yay! lol, i never thought i'd ever play hooky! and with my mom's permission! :D

i was gonna go see Shrek 2 today with Olivia, but the weather was so nice that we decided to go have some ice cream instead. then we went to her house and worked a little on the parody :) so, it was a fun day! i'll have to do the laundry tomorrow and that sucks, and tuesday's my grandma's birthday and we'll have to go there, and that sucks too. but y'know what? - nothing can bother me today! :D

only 3 weeks left in hell! then, on july 26th, finally vacation! yay! and we're not writing any more tests, i think. yesterday we wrote one in biology, and i hadn't expected it at all, so i was f*cked... and it's gonna screw my grade in the report card... but oh well. i guess a C isn't that bad is it? :)

oh yeah, another bad thing happened yesterday. you see my friend janna is going to NYC from july 23rd to 30th, and she was gonna buy the secret window DVD for me there. but i wasn't so sure about that because you never know if that's gonna work on the dvd player, y'know? so i asked her to give me some DVD from america that they have at home, and she did. and yesterday, i tried it out on my DVD player. and it didn't work!!! it said 'wrong region'!! *sobs* that means, it won't do me any good if she buys SW for me cuz i won't be able to watch it.... :'( so, i'll have to wait for the german DVD, and that's gonna take ages! *sniff* at least i have it downloaded!

i'm writing another fic! woohoo! it's not on Friends though. it's a parody of the movie 'chocolat', and i hope ppl are gonna like it! it's fun to write :) i've put lots of jokes from other johnny movies in it though, and you guys prolly won't get those.. but oh well. can't help it :)

lol remember how i wrote in that survey that i want the benny&joon soundtrack? well, i did! i ordered it off amazon :) still haven't listened to it, but i don't care anymore. i just want it. and hey - i got the cash , so what? :)

the student i gave private lessons wrote an E in her last maths test... now can that be my fault? throughout the whole year, i've done my best to try to get her to understand it, and i really thought she was getting better, but apparently it didn't help her... oh well. at least i got my money. teeheee, i'm eeeeevil.... lol :)

ummmm yeah what else...my mom's gone again - she's building a cottage or something with her boyfriend at the lake where we usually go on vacation. in germany :) i hope she's gonna come back soon, cuz i hate cleaning the kitchen! and i'll have to do the laundry and everythin... :(  but there are also some good news: i'm getting my pirates of the caribbean DVD back! WOOOHOOO! the guy they gave the DVD player it's stuck in so he would repair it couldn't do it, so they just broke the DVD player completely and got my DVD out... now the DVD player is screwed, but hey - i have one, and my mom doesn't watch DVDs anway, so yay! :D

so, i think i'll read your LJs now. finally ;)  and then i'll watch secret window again - i just can't get enough of morty! :D

now as for what's goin on in my life (which noone wants to know)...

yesterday i was in the open-air bath for the first time this year! it was sooo hot, like 32 degrees or somethin. today, it's even hotter, and i already was on the terrace for like 20 minutes, but it was so hot that i figured it's prolly not healthy if i stay there any longer. i hope i got at least a little tan... i must get tan this summer! i bought a yellow top, and it won't look good on me unless i'm tan. *nods*

i'm also kinda rich ATM... guess the money comes from givin private lessons and babysitting my mom's friend's kid. but i can't throw it all away (which i'd like to do) cuz i need part of the money for the secret window dvd. i dunno if i already told you, but a friend of mine is goin to NYC soon and she's gonna buy it for me there. i just hope it's gonna work on my dvd player! if not, well, then i'm f*cked...

but since i'm not gonna need it all for the dvd, i ordered 3 short story collections by stephen king on amazon yesterday :) then i'm gonna have them all. i luv the guy, and i bet they're good! they're not that expensive, only 20 bucks including delivery costs. so i'm gonna have plenty to read when school starts again next week and i get bored during the lessons :)

did you know that johnny won the MTV movie award for best male performance (in potc)? i haven't seen the show yet, but i read it. cool isn't it? finally someone appreciates that amazing performance. i read he even was there, so i can't wait to see it!!

you never really complain about me talkin bout johnny, so i figured you're pretty much used to it and it doesn't bother you so much.
